Ms. Winer established Stratenomics, Inc., after having served in various senior management positions for large organizations where the lack of formal planning, of integrating vision and strategic goals had significant and often negative impact on the corporate culture. Over the years, Stratenomics has led the way in bridging strategic thinking with organizational dynamics.
During the course of client assignments Ms. Winer has served as interim CEO or COO for companies in transition. Most recently she has acted in this capacity for two Chicago organizations; SBG Holdings, L.L.C. and TransLumen Technologies, LLC (TTI). SBG is a diversified real estate services and asset management company. TTI is a start-up digital imaging software company with a recently patented technology.
Prior to establishing her own companies, Ms. Winer was Vice President of the Chicago Board of Trade, the first woman to serve in a senior management capacity at the Exchange. Earlier in her career she served as assistant Midwest bureau chief with McGraw Hill Publications, covering eight state regions for all 44 Trade and Technical Publications and as regional editor for three of the publications. She was a business and financial reporter for the Chicago Daily News and fiction writer, producer, and director.
Ms. Winer received a BA from Wayne State University and completed graduate courses at the University of Michigan as well as courses offered by the Center for Mediation in Law in Northern California. She has held numerous positions on state, federal, and non-profit boards, served in a leadership role in a variety of community and economic development activities, and has been a frequent speaker and lecturer. She is the co-author of articles and a member of The Journal of Practical Estate Planning including “The Best of Both Worlds: Responsible Social and Financial Investment” and “Talking Philanthropy to the Next Generation”.

Mr. Courlas serves as a Senior Associate with the Stratenomics organizations. He works closely with clients in building and managing shareholder value and insuring that the client company has a staple and effective organization and infrastructure to support continued profitable growth.
He has over twenty-five years' experience in helping reposition and restructure mid-cap and large cap publicly held companies. In this context Mr. Courlas has:
- Developed growth strategies and business development plans
- Secured business development funding totaling over $200 million
- Structured, launched, and led business development programs
- Organized, managed, and communicated in complex environments
In 1999, Courlas and his family relocated permanently to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, although he has owned property and been a part time resident since 1980.
Mr. Courlas is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, the Turnaround Management Association, Coral Bay and St. John Yacht Clubs, Friends of the V. I. National Park, and Coral Bay Community Council. He has a BS in Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and an MBA in Operations Analysis from American University.
